Congress Environment and Culture: The Greek Advantage
The Congress «Environment and Culture: The Greek advantages», was held on the 23rd and 24th of November 2012, at the Grande Bretagne Hotel, in Athens. The congress was organized by the Hellenic Society of the Protection of the Environment and the Cultural Heritage. The congress was focussed on four issues: Tourism, Shipping, Environment and Culture.
The Hellenic Spanish Chamber of Commerce participated as a collaborator in the congress.
Among the speakers, Mr. Iñigo Bilbao Ubillos, General Director of Strategic Projects in Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council and European Green Capital Programme Coordinator presented his speech in relation to environmental issues and the case of Vitoria-Gasteiz. The city of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in Spain, has been appointed the European Green Capital 2012. A triumph that has taken over three decades of environmental policies developed over the years and the commitment of a citizenry that has become an example for the entire European Community in relation to recycling, mobility and water consumption.
